It is necessary

  • - paraffin (finished shavings or cut ordinary candle);
  • - wick;
  • - wick holder;
  • - 2 forms of different sizes (special for making candles or any other containers);
  • - utensils for a water bath;
  • - flavoring or essential oil;
  • - fat-soluble dye (wax crayon);
  • - seashells, starfish;
  • - a piece of twine;
  • - hairdryer;
  • - pallet or mat (to protect the table surface from paraffin);
  • - disposable gloves.

Instructions

Step 1

Lubricate the molds with a thin layer of dishwashing liquid or vegetable oil. The big one is from the inside, the small one is from the outside. Insert one into the other and fill the space between them with shells.

Step 2

Put on gloves, melt the paraffin until completely transparent in a water bath (not in the microwave and not on fire!).

Step 3

Fill in the seashells. When it hardens (after about an hour), melt more paraffin and pour over the shells to the edges of the inner mold.

Step 4

Leave to harden for about 2 hours. Extract the inner mold.

Step 5

In a small amount of melted paraffin, add shavings of crayon wax.

The color of the paraffin in the molten form is more intense than in the frozen one.

Step 6

Pour a little colored paraffin on the bottom, insert the wick into the wick holder and fix it with a skewer so that it is well tensioned and goes exactly in the center.

Step 7

When it hardens, melt the remaining paraffin wax with crayon and fill the candle to the brim. Leave some paraffin as it hardens and sags around the wick. This small funnel will need to be poured, adding 8-15 drops of flavoring here.

Step 8

After hardening (after 3-4 hours), remove the candle from the mold. If not removed, you can pre-put it in the refrigerator for 5-8 minutes.

Step 9

To make the shells better visible, heat the walls with a hairdryer at medium power. Use a paper towel to smooth out heat imperfections. Decorate the candle as you like.
