The pattern consists of shortened and elongated rows. Its elements fit simply, the main thing is to master the rotary technique. The drawing looks like real plant leaves. It is used for cardigans, coats, stoles.

Instructions
Step 1
Determine the size of the future leaflet and count the required number of loops. There are 40 stitches in the typesetting row of the sample (it does not count as a row of the canvas).
Step 2
The leaves are knitted in elongated and shortened rows. The first row is shortened, some of the loops must be left on the left knitting needle (they do not participate in the work). In the sample 5 loops are not tied (35 front). One of the removed loops (in sample 36) must be wrapped with a working thread. In this case, the loop should remain on the left spoke. It must be temporarily transferred to the right knitting needle, skip the thread after the loop, return the loop to the left knitting needle. The fabric is knitted with garter stitch.
Step 3
The second row, the fourth row, the sixth row are elongated. In the sample, 15 rows are knitted in even rows. The 16th loop must be wrapped with a thread. In the eighth row, the number of stitches to be knitted increases by one loop.
Step 4
In the third row and in all odd rows (up to 15 rows), several loops less than in even rows. The sample has 13 stitches in odd rows (shortened rows).
Step 5
In 8, 10, 12, 14 rows, knit one loop more than in the previous even rows. In the sample of 16 loops, twine around the 17 loop with thread.
Step 6
The number of stitches in odd rows does not change until row 15.
Step 7
Row 15 has one more stitch than row 14. In the sample in the 15th row, 17 loops. Half of the leaf is ready.
Step 8
Starting from row 16, the order of knitting for shortened and extended rows changes. The even rows are shortened (the number of loops is the same as in the odd rows of the first half of the leaflet). In the sample in 16 and subsequent even rows of 13 loops (14 loop is twisted with a thread). The odd rows are elongated (the number of loops is equal to the number of loops in the even rows of the first half of the leaflet). The pattern has 16 stitches in odd rows.
Step 9
In the 23rd row, the number of loops is reduced by 1 loop. In the sample in the 23rd row, 15 loops. In the 24th row in the pattern there are 13 loops. In the 25th row, 19 loops are connected. In the 26th row, there are 38 loops in the sample. 27 last row, knit all loops.
Step 10
Half of the open loops of the leaf must be closed. The sample contains 20 stitches.
Step 11
Since there are not enough loops for knitting the second leaf, you need to knit one row (so that the thread is at the bottom) and dial the required number of additional loops. In the sample 20 stitches remained on the needle, 20 additional stitches were cast. A total of 40 loops.
Step 12
Complete the required number of sheets.
Step 13
To move to the second row of leaves, you need to close half of the loops of the last leaf of the first row.
Step 14
Collect the required number of additional loops (there are 20 in the sample). The gaps between the leaves are filled after the canvas is tied. Most often, an uneven edge is left.
Step 15
In each row, the direction of the leaflet changes. The next leaf is knitted from half of the loops of the first leaf of the second row and half of the loops of the leaf of the first row.
