Winter is just around the corner, and sewing sheepskin coats is very relevant now. Most often, sheepskin coats are sewn from natural or artificial sheepskin. The bottom of the sleeve can be turned off with fur or dense, wear-resistant fabric. A sheepskin coat can be fastened with buttons or tied at a belt, like a dressing gown - this is a matter of taste.
It is necessary
- - Artificial sheepskin;
- - suede flap;
- - stick buttons;
- - "magic" tailor's chalk;
- - sewing machine;
- - threads.
Instructions
Step 1
When cutting a sheepskin coat from an artificial sheepskin, take into account its features. Place all parts in the direction of the pile. If the style does not provide for any exclusive features, the pile on the sheepskin coat should be directed from top to bottom. Use sharp-edged scissors when cutting out parts of the pattern. Be careful to cut only the base, not the fur. Cut out two pieces of the middle, intermediate and side sections of the shelf, two side pieces of the back, two sleeves and pockets, as well as the middle section of the back and a pocket.
Step 2
When the cut is complete, brush the edges of the parts by hand or with a brush. Collecting the randomly cut pile. This will make it easier to stitch together the parts, and the product will not "climb". If you need to make allowances, mark them on the suede side of the parts using the "magic" crayon.
Step 3
Get your needles ready. Depending on the quality and thickness of the fur, vary the needle number from # 75 to # 90. Use a contrasting color thread and a long, thin needle for basting. Prepare special threads for finishing stitching. For overlapped seams, you will need fur-colored and suede-colored threads.
Step 4
Use a piece of suede to make stick button loops. Fold each loop 20 cm long so that a sharp corner forms at the top, and sew a stitch across. Received right clasps. For the left fasteners, make strips 7 mm wide and 17 cm long. Place the fasteners on the middle parts of the shelves, baste the ends to the raised seam allowances.
Step 5
For front embossed seams, cut off allowances at the intermediate portions of the shelves. At a distance of 1, 5 cm from the cuts on the lateral and middle parts, draw the "magic" chalk lines of alignment. Place the intermediate parts of the shelves with the fur side on the suede side of the side and middle parts of the shelves along the alignment lines. Pin and stitch to the edge.
Step 6
Stitch the middle part of the back to the side as described in the previous step. Then stitch the back along the side and shoulder sections. Leave the cuts at the bottom of the side seams open. Place the pockets on the shelves, pin and topstitch.
Step 7
Draw a line of alignment on the collar, stepping back 1.5 cm from the cut of the stand. On the back and shelves, cut off the allowances along the cut of the neckline. With the fur side on the suede side, place the neckline over the collar along the alignment line. Sweep and stitch.
Step 8
Fold each sleeve right side in. Stitch the cuts, finishing the stitch 4 cm above the fold line. Notch seam allowances. Stitch the sleeves at the bottom of the notch. Fold the bottom of the sleeve up along the fold line and stitch to the edge. Along the edge, follow a shallow alignment line 1.5 cm from the cut. Cut off the allowances along the cuts of the armholes. Insert sleeves into armholes. Pin the cuts of the armholes and stitch onto the sleeves.
