Today, not every woman can afford to buy a fur coat made of natural fur, although everyone wants to. There is one simple way out of this situation. You can just buy fur and hand it over to a tailor shop. It will be cheaper. And you can sew exactly what you have always dreamed of. If you are already a happy owner of such a fur coat and your hook suddenly came off by accident, you do not like the placement of the hooks, or clumsy buttons are sewn onto your fur coat, do not be upset. You, without going to the studio, can correct the situation with your own hands.
Instructions
Step 1
Place the fur coat on a flat surface and align both shelves. Then mark where the hooks and rings will be. They must be at the same distance, preferably 10-12 centimeters. To do this, measure the length of the entire shelf and divide by an equal number of hooks.
Step 2
Next, mark the distance from the edge, in professional ateliers the hooks are sewn 5-6 centimeters from the edge. It is desirable that the first hook is located in the center of the chest, and the last one is not below the curvature of the seat. Otherwise, they may not hold out for long.
Step 3
After you decide on the place of sewing, you need to carefully process it so that the hooks hold longer. For this you can use non-woven fabric (eg Vlieseline G 785), which can be ironed without moisture. You can also use textile glue. Having chosen a tool, treat it with the place where you will sew the hooks.
Step 4
Next, cut a small hole with a blade on the seamy side, you do not need to cut through, but only one layer - 0.6-1 centimeter. Insert the hook into the hole with the bottom part and sew it with oblique stitches to the product, without piercing it through.
Step 5
Then sew a ring into the marked place on the parallel side, also having previously made an incision. It is best if you sew the first ring and the first hook and look at the general view, so that later you do not have to redo it all over again.
Step 6
As for the choice of hooks, you don't need to buy the first ones that come across, with the expectation that no one will see them anyway. Keep in mind that a fur coat is not a blouse, and you will not throw it away in a year. Therefore, take the choice of hooks no less seriously than the choice of the fur coat itself. Moreover, today you can find hooks of any color, and recently hooks with leather loops have appeared, which in itself is not only beautiful, but also convenient.
