Skudi is a hood with a scarf sewn to it, there may be pockets on the scarf. Sewing it up is pretty simple. You need a little fabric for such a thing, you can cut it out of something old. At the same time, you will receive pleasure from the fashionable novelty all season.
It is necessary
- - the cloth;
- - fur;
- - sewing machine;
- - scissors.
Instructions
Step 1
Choose from all your clothes the one that you like the most of the hood from. Hoods are usually sewn from two simple pieces, so it's easy to circle half of this piece of clothing. If you need a more spacious hood, then increase the pattern by adding a few centimeters on each side. Of course, don't forget about the seam allowances.
Step 2
Pick up the fabric on the skudi, deciding in advance what you will wear it with. Try to keep the colors of these things not dissonant with each other. In anticipation of the onset of cold weather, think about additional insulation in the form of a fur lining. Fur can be taken absolutely different - both short-haired and long-haired, with this thing it looks stylish and fashionable in any form.
Step 3
Choose the length and width of the scarf according to your considerations and preferences. Take a few scarves and wrap them well in each one in turn, take the size off the one that seemed most comfortable to you.
Sew the parts of the hood from the main fabric and from the fur separately, and then join them together, stitching along the wrong side. Turn the hood right out, step back 5-7 mm from the edge of the front cutout and sew.
Step 4
Sew the two halves of the scarf from fabric and from fur, turn it out and sew the edges. Gently pin the scarf to the hood, aligning the middle of the garments, baste them together and sew.
If you wish, you can sew pockets of the simplest shape to the skudi - cut a rectangle of a suitable size for the pocket itself and another, smaller one, for the flap. Fold and stitch the edges, select a place on the scarf where the pocket will be convenient for you, and baste it evenly.
Step 5
Cut a hole on the flap to fit the button and overcast it, sew a button to the pocket. Fasten the flap with the button, position the pocket and flap evenly, and pin in this position. Sew on the flap.
The pocket can be made without a valve - with an elastic band, but in this case, you should not keep things there that may fall out.
