Instructions
Step 1
Choose a fabric for your pillow toy. Toys made of plush, fleece, artificial fur, velvet, velveteen, velor are soft, especially pleasant to the touch and interesting in appearance. Cut out two large ovals for the front and back sides of the pillow using the fabric of your choice. Then make four ovals or triangles for the ears, depending on which animal you want to sew. Also make two parts of the front and rear legs.
Step 2
Apply the pattern of the nose and eyes to the fleece. This adhesive double-sided pad will allow you to make the applique as clear and accurate as possible. Cut out the pieces of fleece together with the attached patterns (it is not necessary to follow the contours at this stage). Press the glue pad onto the cloth with a hot iron.
Step 3
Then carefully cut out the nose and eyes along the contours and peel the paper off the material. Stitch the appliqué on the front oval with a zigzag stitch, having previously marked the location of the eyes and nose on it. The mouth is also sewn in a zigzag pattern with a sewing machine.
Step 4
Zigzag the edges of all parts of the head. Fold the ears and feet together with the right side inward. When doing this, use a bright cotton cloth for the inside of each ear. Leave the incision open at the base of each limb and ears. Turn them out and sew to the base.
Step 5
Fold the edges of the back half inward once 7.5 mm and the other 20 mm. Stitch the allowance so that a 20 cm section remains unsewn in the middle, it is needed for the Velcro.
Step 6
Fold both halves right sides and sew. Unscrew the pillow cover. Fold the front and back of the inner cushion inward with the right side and sew, leaving a small cut. Turn the pillow through this hole and fill with padding polyester. Sew the hole by hand with a blind stitch.
Step 7
Sew up the incision and insert the pillow into the cover. The cover can be washed if necessary.
