Cinema is a synthetic art form based on a literary work - a script. Also, cinematography combines elements of theatrical art, design, music and the latest technologies: cinematography, three-dimensional technology, acrobatic and stunt stunts, and more. Thanks to the availability of many of these technologies, the creation of short films is possible even by amateurs.

Instructions

Step 1

Create a literary script for the film. In it, determine the number and characters of the heroes, write down the lines and actions. Pay less attention to the description of the situation, use a minimum of definitions and circumstances (adjectives, participles and participles).

Step 2

Based on the script, write a synopsis (from the Greek "review"), that is, a short retelling of the plot. Additionally, write a director's script in which each scene is described minute by minute. The director's script should have three columns: the replicas of the characters, the timing, the name and the cost of the technical means used in the frame.

Step 3

In the third column, make an estimate of the film, including the costs of the services of the film crew (actors, operators, musicians and others), transport, food, clothing and more.

Step 4

Register the copyright for the literary script and synopsis.

Step 5

If you do not have the funds to pay for the budget yourself, contact the production center, providing an estimate and synopsis. Leave your contact details, inform that your copyrights are protected. It is better to contact several production centers, since it is unlikely that the first producer will answer a novice director with consent.

Step 6

Then look for actors and cameramen. To do this, browse the numerous artist databases on the Internet. Evaluate the performers' experience, biometrics (height, weight, age), additional skills (in case your characters have to sing, fence, ride a horse or the like).

Step 7

Start filming. Rehearse each scene first, then shoot, demanding from the actors the right intonation, the right mood, and even the pose. Experiment with staging your shot (zoom in, out, focus, color filters).

Step 8

After filming is finished, edit the film. Choose the most successful and original shots, interesting and harmonious combinations. Note that the best sequence of shots is: Large, Medium, General and vice versa: General, Medium, Large. Don't overdo it with computer and other effects.

Step 9

Record the soundtrack. To do this, provide the composer with a second-by-second plan of the scenes being designed, indicating the mood and the desired volume of the music. Take care of your title music. Do not hesitate to express your wishes for the style of music, a true professional will find the right colors in any boundaries.

Step 10

Combine sound and image. Watch the movie again for technical flaws. Correct them as you find them. Then review it again to make sure you haven't missed anything.
