To create an extra comic effect, video clips are often inserted into the soundtrack and played backwards. You can turn a music file into such a fragment using the Adobe Audition program.

Instructions
Step 1
Use the Open option of the File menu or the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + O to load the music file into the sound editor. If you've recently used Adobe Audition to work with this file, choose its name from the list of recently opened documents at the bottom of the File menu.
Step 2
If you are going to reverse the music that is the audio track of a video file, use the Open Audio from Video option on the File menu. To process one of the CD tracks, use the Extract Audio from CD option of the same menu.
Step 3
To process a single audio track, you need an edit mode. Switch the program workspace to this mode by selecting Edit View from the Workspace drop-down list.
Step 4
If necessary, remove unnecessary fragments from the file. To do this, place the cursor at the beginning of the section to be removed, and holding down the left mouse button, move the pointer until the end of the fragment. Delete the selected part of the file with the Delete key.
Step 5
Specify the piece of sound that you want to flip in the opposite direction. If you are going to reverse the entire file, select the entire track by double-clicking on it or pressing Ctrl + A. You can use the Select Entire Wave option on the Edit menu. To reverse the sound, apply the Reverse option in the Effects menu to the file.
Step 6
If you want to get a file in which the sound, having reached a certain point, began to play in the opposite direction, place the cursor on the selected point and press the F8 key to place a marker.
Step 7
Select and delete all of the sound after the marker. Select the remaining track and copy it to a new track using the Copy to New option of the Edit menu. Apply the Reverse option to the new track.
Step 8
Select the processed sound completely, copy it using the Copy option of the Edit menu or using the Ctrl + C keys. Open the original sound for editing by selecting it in the file palette and applying the Edit File option to it from the context menu.
Step 9
Place the cursor at the very end of the open track and paste the reversed copy of the sound by pressing Ctrl + V or using the Paste option of the Edit menu. With this processing, the original section of the file will end with the fragment from which the sound begins, unfolded backwards.
Step 10
Use the Save As option of the File menu to save the processed music to a file that has a different name from the original recording.
