Instructions

Step 1

Open the image you are going to mirror in a graphics editor by dragging the file into the Photoshop window or using the Ctrl + O hotkeys.

Step 2

Duplicate the image layer with the Dublicate Layer command from the Layer menu. This needs to be done in order to get a layer to which the transformation can be applied. If you prefer to leave only one layer in the document, use the Layer From Background command in the New group of the Layer menu. The same will happen if you right-click on the background layer in the Layers palette and select the Layer From Background option from the menu. Click on the OK button in the window that opens. Now the only layer that exists in the open document is ready for editing.

Step 3

Transform the image. To do this, select the Flip Horizontal command from the Transform group of the Edit menu. the same group Transform ("Transform"). Sequential application of these commands will give you an object that is flipped vertically and horizontally.

Step 4

You can do this transformation manually. To do this, use the Free Transform command on the Edit menu. Drag the bottom border of the transform frame to the top, and the top to the bottom. You will get an object flipped vertically, just like flipping horizontally, only in this case you have to swap the left and right borders of the frame. Apply the transformation by pressing Enter.

Step 5

Save the mirrored image to a.jpg"
