Modeling from plasticine teaches the child to plan activities, develops perseverance and fine motor skills. If you want to make the most of your time, try making a dinosaur with your toddler. Such joint creative work brings joy to both parents and children. The figurine of a prehistoric animal will perfectly decorate your desktop collection of crafts.

It is necessary

  • - colored plasticine;
  • - wooden or plastic board;
  • - stick or knife.

Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the modeling clay by choosing pieces of a suitable color. A green material is more suitable for a dinosaur figurine, but you can get creative and give the prehistoric animal a different color, for example, brown or purple.

Step 2

From a piece of plasticine, form a large ball for the body, two smaller balls for the head and tail. Four more plasticine balls are needed for the paws. Usually the dinosaur is depicted with more massive hind legs and smaller front legs.

Step 3

The blanks from which the torso, head and tail will be made, lightly roll on a table or board so that they turn out to be narrowed. Shape the balls intended for animal llamas into elongated sausages.

Step 4

Connect the torso to the head and carefully iron the joint with your fingers. Make the neck a little longer. Now you can fit the tail to the body and also smooth out the joint. Extend the tail to the desired length.

Step 5

Place paws on the dinosaur body one by one. The front legs should be under the torso, and the hind legs can be attached with a slight overlap to simulate the protruding hips of the animal. If you are confident in your creativity, try giving the dinosaur movement by showing a dynamic figurine.

Step 6

Give the dinosaur large, expressive eyes that contrast in shade with the main color. On the back of the animal, you can make outgrowths from the same plasticine or from sunflower or pumpkin seeds of suitable size. Use a stick or knife to make scales on the sides of the body. Also draw with a sharp object the toes and make small holes on the face - they will represent the nostrils.

Step 7

Take another critical look at your creation. If necessary, smooth the joints between the individual parts. Place the plasticine dinosaur on a stand of thick cardboard. A convenient stand can also be molded from a plasticine cake. Your figurine is now complete.
