If you want to surprise your guests with an original and unusual little thing or decoration, make them yourself. The "Christmas tree" candlestick made of wire and a bar will be just what you need.

- Wooden block with a section of 50x50 mm;
- Wire with a cross section of 4 mm;
- Tools - drill, plane or carpentry machine;
- Sandpaper;
- Paints;
- Board dimensions 70x70x25 mm.
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, we will make the trunk of our candlestick. We adjust the bar on the machine or manually, apply markings on it. To do this, look for the middle of the bar, mark it. Then from the middle we measure about 5-7 mm in both directions and put marks. We have dealt with the top of the "herringbone".
Step 2
From the opposite end, we need to indent by about 50 mm, on all four planes we draw transverse lines with a pencil. From the points marked on the top, you need to lead the lines to the opposite edges, where the transverse lines are. We will get a cone. Now turn the block over and repeat the marking operation.
Step 3
After marking all four planes, you can make cuts along the indicated lines. Next, we stitch the cone itself and its sharp parts, making flat 2-millimeter platforms in their place.
Step 4
Let's make the markup for the "branches" now. Divide the cone into three equal parts, make marks on the site. We drill holes 3-5 mm deep. We also make a hole at the top of the pyramid. It is better to take drills with a diameter of 0.2-0.3 mm less than the diameter of the wire.
Step 5
Making the base of the candlestick. To do this, we take a board, we scratch it. We cut the edges at an angle of 45 degrees. We clean all problem areas with sandpaper.
Step 6
We attach a cone to the stand. This can be done by drilling holes in the cone and in the board, and using a wooden pin with glue, you can now secure the cone to the stand. Paint the trunk brown and the base light green.
Step 7
We make branches from wire cut into pieces. We will need four pieces each with a length of 115 mm, 75 mm and 50 mm. Bend the edges of the wire "branch" at an angle of 45 degrees. The first end should be 10 mm and the second 5 mm.
Step 8
Now the finished branches should be inserted into the holes in the cone, prepared in advance. We attach long pieces of wire from below, medium ones above and short ones to the top. And at the top of our "Christmas tree" you can insert a straight piece of wire 10 mm long.
