The simplest apron can be sewn even by a completely inexperienced dressmaker (it's not for nothing that this is the first thing that girls sew in technology lessons at school). However, a hostess who spends a lot of time in the kitchen needs a beautiful and original apron that will help brighten up the hours spent at daily work.
It is necessary
- - multi-colored fabric;
- - satin fabric for ties;
- - threads;
- - tailor's pins;
- - scissors;
- - sewing machine.
Instructions
Step 1
Sew ties and a belt from satin. For the strings, cut out a rectangle that is 12 centimeters wide and 70-80 centimeters long. Fold the part in half and sew on a sewing machine, and sew the edges obliquely, and leave about five centimeters unstitched in the middle. Cut the corners close to the seam. Turn the part out through the open hole to the front. Spread out the corners and iron. You can also use wide satin ribbons instead of fabric.
Step 2
For the belt, sew a similar piece, but its length should be twice the girth of your waist. Also, leave 25 centimeters unstitched at the top of the waistband and sixty at the bottom.
Step 3
For the bib, cut out a 25x25 cm square. For the main apron piece, a 60x25 cm rectangle. In addition, you will need ruffle details made of fabric in contrasting colors. They will be 15 centimeters long and 70 cm wide.
Step 4
Finish the frills. Hem the bottom edge of each piece and decorate with braid or lace if desired. Run machine stitches along the top of the rectangle with a slight tension on the upper thread, pull them together to a length of 60 centimeters. Stitch the first frill to the bottom edge of the main part of the apron, and the rest at a distance of three centimeters from each other. Iron the detail. Fold the side cuts twice and sew on the sewing machine.
Step 5
Next, process the bib. Fold the cuts twice to the wrong side and baste to the top of the tie. Sew on a typewriter, iron and remove the basting.
Step 6
Insert the bib into the upper unsewn hole of the belt (25 cm wide), sweep the details or pin off the details with tailor's pins. And the main part - into the lower hole (60 cm wide) and sweep it too. Sew all seams with a typewriter, iron and remove the basting.
