It is necessary

  • - ruler;
  • - pencil;
  • - cotton fabric;
  • - threads to match the fabric;
  • - a needle;
  • - sewing machine.

Instructions

Step 1

For sewing an apron, use bright cotton and linen fabrics. Their decoration can be very diverse: lace, braid, embroidery, applique, ruffles and frills.

Step 2

To sew an apron, you must have its pattern. Although the simplest apron-apron model can be cut out directly on the fabric. To do this, fold it with the right side inward and draw a rectangle, the length of which will be equal to the desired length of the apron, and the width is equal to the measurement of the half-girth of the hips, divided by two, plus six centimeters. For example, the half-girth of the hips is forty centimeters, therefore, the width of the apron is 40: 2 + 6 = 26 cm.

Step 3

Cut out a rectangle for the ties, 6 centimeters wide and equal to your waist, plus one meter, and a pocket detail. Cut out all parts, leaving one centimeter for seam allowances on all sides.

Step 4

Finish the pocket detail. Fold the upper part twice, sweep by hand and sew on a typewriter. Then iron the sides and bottom. Baste the pocket against the apron piece six centimeters from the top edge. Topstitch it 2 mm from the edge, bar tacking at the beginning and end of the stitching. Remove the basting and iron the pocket.

Step 5

Hem seam the bottom and side cuts. To do this, fold the cuts to the wrong side twice and sweep them. Then sew all seams. Remove the basting and iron the seams.

Step 6

Perform assemblies along the upper edge of the apron. To do this, place two parallel lines, 5 mm back from the top edge. Then pull them down to the desired size. Tie the ends of the threads so that the assemblies do not bloom.

Step 7

Fold the belt parts in half, right side inward. Grind the ends of the belt at a distance of one centimeter from the cuts on both sides, leaving an unsewn distance in the middle equal to the width of the finished apron. Turn the belt out to the right side and press it on. Put it on the front side of the apron part, aligning the middle, pin one cut of the belt with pins, and stitch it in. Remove the pins, fold the belt to the wrong side by one centimeter and pin with pins. From the right side, sew into the seam seam. Remove the pins and iron the belt.

Step 8

Decorate the apron any way you like, put it on and head to the kitchen for some delicious meals.
