It is necessary

  • - felt of three colors;
  • - thick sheet (cardboard);
  • - scissors;
  • - pencil;
  • - threads.

Instructions

Step 1

The first step is to prepare everything that is required for sewing. Next, on a dense sheet, you need to draw a maple leaf or a figure of the same shape as you want to ultimately see the potholder.

Then cut out and put the resulting pattern on each piece of felt, circle and cut. It is worth noting that when cutting, it is necessary to make each subsequent workpiece a little less by a couple of millimeters.

Step 2

Put in front of you the largest piece of felt sheet, carefully lay the second on it, then the third. As a result, you should get one voluminous sheet, looking at which all the tiers are visible from above.

After this procedure, it is necessary to draw veins on the upper blank using a pencil and sew the product along them with a zigzag stitch.

Step 3

The next step is to create a loop. From one piece of felt, cut a rectangle with sides of two and six centimeters, fold it in half lengthwise and carefully sew with a zigzag stitch in the middle.

Step 4

The final stage is attaching the eyelet to the potholder itself. To do this, you need to fold the loop in half, attach it with slices to the sheet that is in the middle and stitch it with a regular stitch.

The felt potholder is ready.
