When playing poker, it is very important to mix the cards thoroughly after each round. Otherwise, you will risk that your lucky combination fell to someone else. There are several common methods for mixing.

Instructions

Step 1

Do not shuffle the poker cards in any case, this is a prohibited technique for such a game, since there is a possibility of "lightning up" the cards. Perform all operations only on the table, only sometimes, when necessary, slightly raise the deck.

Step 2

Strip is one of the simplest ways to shuffle cards. Unpack the new card package. Place the deck in front of you, wide side facing you, face down. With your left thumb, grab the deck by the near wide edge, place your index finger on top of the deck, ring finger on the short side of the deck, place the remaining fingers on the opposite wide edge. Raise the cards slightly above the table and with your right hand remove the cards from the top of the deck twice, on the third place some of the cards remaining in your left hand on the shifted deck. The position of the fingers of the left hand mirrors their position on the left. Repeat this mixing several times.

Step 3

The riffle is a rather original and high-quality way of shuffling. Divide the deck into approximately two equal parts. Arrange these pieces so that they only touch each other at the bottom corners. With the thumbs of each hand, lift the corners while holding the decks with your index fingers. Move both parts towards each other and, controlling with your thumbs, lower the corners so that they lie on top of each other. After that, slide and align both pieces into one deck. Repeat this operation several times.

Step 4

Washing a deck is also a well-known way of shuffling cards. Spread the entire deck face down in front of you on the table in two or three rows. Then, with your fingertips, shuffle the entire deck, without turning over the cards, in a random order. After that, collect them in one pile, lift them face to face and, tapping on the surface of the table, align the deck.

Step 5

For better mixing, it is recommended to make a regular shuffle after “washing” the deck - perform a riffle three or four times, then a strip once or twice, then repeat a riffle several times.
