Shorts have come into use for men as an element of sportswear. Later they began to be seen as an interesting alternative to swimming trunks. Today, men's shorts are common in the city. Men choose them as casual clothes on hot days, as well as wear them for walks and morning jogging.

Instructions
Step 1
Choose a fabric to work with, like cotton, blended, twill, or denim. Take the following measurements: Waist, Side Shorts Length, Thighs, Inner Legs, Shorts Hip, Step Height.
Step 2
Make a pattern for the shorts using graph paper. You can use old shorts or pants as a pattern.
Step 3
Cut two front and back halves of the shorts. Cut out the facing of the fastener, two pieces of the seam allowance for the right half of the shorts (side cut), two burlap pockets, two one-piece barrels with burlap pockets, two pieces of a back pocket and a belt.
Step 4
Leave 1.5 cm each for seam allowances. Stitch the entrance to each pocket with burlap and topstitch. Place the front half of the shorts on the cut-off barrel. From the wrong side, stitch and baste to the front half of the shorts of burlap pockets.
Step 5
Make darts on the back halves. Fold over to wrong side and topstitch each pocket with one-piece seam. Make a loop in each pocket and sew them to the back of the pants.
Step 6
Sew the front and back of the shorts at the sides, then stitch the step cuts. Sew the front and back middle seams.
Step 7
Now proceed to insert the zipper. Fold the piping over the left half of the shorts and sew to the edge of the fastener. Cut the allowances close to the stitching, turn the facing to the wrong side. Sew one tape of the zipper under the cut edge of the right half.
Step 8
Line up the mid-front lines and baste the opening for the fastener. Sew the loose zipper tape to the left side of the shorts. Stitch the clasp from the right side of the left half.
Step 9
Fold the front parts of the cut-off, grind the rounded cuts. Cut the seam allowances close to the stitching. Pin the board under the right edge of the fastener and stitch it into the stitching seam. Having stepped back 3 cm from the lower end of the fastener, on the left half, fasten with a zigzag stitch.
Step 10
Sew the belt to the top cut. Sew a loop at the left end of the waistband. Fold the hem allowance to the wrong side and stitch. Sew on the button.
