It is necessary

  • - dense thick dark orange or yellow fabric;
  • - white fabric for decoration;
  • - 2 large buttons;
  • - 1 small black button;
  • - a thin strip of ginger fur;
  • - lining fabric;
  • - thin foam rubber;
  • - 4 thick flat laces;
  • - chalk or soap.

Instructions

Step 1

Sew the baby handbag in the shape of a lion's head. Determine the size of the future bag and cut out two identical circles from thick fabric, leaving 1-2 centimeters of allowance. Make the same circles with the same allowances from the lining fabric. And two more of the same foam rubber circles, but without allowances.

Step 2

Cut two small circles out of white cloth and an oval about half the size of the circles. From the circles you get a muzzle, from an oval - a chin.

Step 3

Cut out two small circles from the ginger cloth, cut off a small piece to make a flat base - these will be the ears. Take one large circle of red fabric, place a muzzle on it (two white circles next to it in the center, an oval under them), eyes-buttons, a nose-button at the junction of two white circles, ears - almost at an allowance, with a cut down. Pin all fabric parts with pins, mark the location of the buttons with chalk or soap.

Step 4

Sew on or glue all the details with Moment glue. Lay the decorated circle of fabric “face down”, put a piece of foam rubber on it, on top - lining fabric, pin the foam rubber and fabrics with pins, sew. Do the same with the remaining three circles.

Step 5

Sew the two pieces of the bag along the edge, leaving a wide opening on top, roughly from ear to lion cub's ear.

Step 6

Take a fur strip - it will serve for the mane. Try it on, wrapping the entire large red circle around the edge. Trim off excess fur, leaving allowances of 1-2 centimeters.

Step 7

Match orange threads to match the fur. Sew the fur with blind stitches to the edge of the face circle, gently releasing any hairs that get caught in the threads.

Step 8

Make a handle: take four black laces that are flat, wide and tight. Gather them in a bunch, aligning the ends, and tie at one end with a knot, secure the knot on some stationary base.

Step 9

Spread the laces in a row, take the one on the far left (first), bend it into the second, bend it under the third and turn it into the fourth. Holding the first and fourth laces, wind the second over the third, slide under the fourth, and then fold the first under the second. In this way, weave a strap of the desired length and sew to the purse from the inside.
