Baba Yaga is the most famous heroine of fairy tales, who lives in a dense Russian forest and frightens all children with her appearance. However, this character is by no means evil, Baba Yaga is a woman-keeper, she knows the secrets (in fairy tales - the secrets of the forest) and protects her hearth. That is why in the old days the image of Yaga was in every home as a talisman. Today, traditions are making a comeback.

It is necessary

  • - herb or pine cone with a tail;
  • -a few wooden branches;
  • -pencil;
  • - threads for knitting brown; -paper;
  • -cardboard cup;
  • -plasticine;
  • -glue;
  • -the cloth.

Instructions

Step 1

Take a pencil and screw small twigs to it with thread or glue, thereby making a broom for your Baba Yaga.

Step 2

Take a plastic cup and glue small needles and fabric to it from below, and also decorate the entire cup in the same way, thereby creating the appearance of a fabulous stupa. Alternatively, you can use plasticine: just coat the plastic with soft plasticine and stick the needles on top.

Step 3

Take a bump and attach an oblong plasticine lump to its tail. Then wrap the plasticine with thread until the oblong head of Baba Yaga is formed.

Step 4

Make a shawl out of the fabric by cutting out a square and folding it into a triangle. The scarf should be made in accordance with the size of the resulting head. Try on and secure with glue, a small sewing pin, or thread. If you have artistic talent, make a Yaga face, do not forget about a nose with a characteristic hump.

Step 5

Fasten the arms and legs from the branches with glue and plasticine in the cone. At the same time, use twigs with branches in the form of fingers for the hands, and just sticks for the legs. You can dress up the Yaga: cut out an "apron" from the remaining fabric and put it on the figure.

Step 6

Put paper on the bottom of the cup, on which you pre-fix the plasticine. Plant the resulting Baba Yaga in a mortar, sticking it with her legs-branches into plasticine. Place a broom next to it or attach it to your hand with glue.

Step 7

Place the resulting toy on a shelf in your apartment or house, place it on your desk in your office, or hang it on a chandelier.

Step 8

In order to make not a talisman, but a toy, you can use an old doll as a base, even if it is torn or even soiled. Tousle her hair and tie a scarf, leaving Yaga with a forelock sticking out from under this scarf.

Step 9

Take acrylic paints or thick theatrical make-up and give the doll a suitable make-up: darken the eyes, draw wrinkles, bevel the corners of the mouth.

Step 10

It's up to the costume. You can also limit yourself to an apron, or you can tailor a dress with patches to match the scarf, make shoes and a stupa out of papier-mâché. Thick branches will do for the broom.
