Humorous programs and parodies are very popular on television. Parody is a good way to entertain guests for a holiday, perform at a student evening or corporate party. Of course, talent is needed to imitate voices well. However, desire and training will also allow you to achieve success in this matter.
Instructions
Step 1
Try to get used to the image of the person you want to parody. Get into it. It's good if you have an audio recording, or even better a video with this person. Listen or watch the recording several times to remember the person's intonation, the shades of his timbre, how he opens his mouth, how he stands. In order for the parody to succeed, it is necessary to copy some characteristic features of a person (in this case, the timbre and manner of speaking), while still achieving a comic effect.
Step 2
When you have listened to the entire recording, include each phrase separately and try to repeat it. This is where you need mindfulness as well as imagination. Imagine that you are that person. If you succeed, the task will become much easier. Copy the audio recording to the player and listen to it in transport. Of course, you may soon get tired of it, but the voice of the person being parodied will become almost “native” for you, and at least you can parody the intonations quite easily after a while.
Step 3
If you have the opportunity and desire, attend a vocal class or speech formulation course. Only a person with a well-trained voice and correct sound production can truly master his speech, speak now low, now high, use the richness of intonations. The voice, its strength and flexibility, can be developed.
Step 4
Watch programs with performances of famous parodists, read their interviews. You may be able to learn some of their secrets and tricks.
