On the eve of the New Year, everything around seems to be filled with inner radiance, people begin to smile more often, congratulating each other on the upcoming holidays. However, even during this pleasant period, parents of babies can face unexpected problems. So, children often turn to adults with a request to draw them Santa Claus's sleigh. A few tips will help you not to disappoint your child.

Step 1
Start drawing with the general outline of the sled. It may be a schematic sketch that only clarifies some of the details. In the future, you will hide many of them with other details, so it is enough that they even remotely resemble the character's traditional vehicle.
Step 2
Start by drawing the runners. Their length will determine the scale of the whole picture. In appearance, they practically do not differ from skis, so it is enough to draw a straight line and bend one end upwards. Above the runners, stepping back a little upward, place the sleigh box. Start at the backdrop: draw a small, straight line, then draw a parabola. Continue in a straight line to the front of the runners. Pay attention to the proportions: straight lines should be equal in length, and the distance between the ends of the parabola should be greater than the length of each of them. Step back a little and draw the same shape higher, connect it with vertical segments with the first one. One side wall is ready. Draw the second in the same way, and don't forget to move it a little to the right to get a three-dimensional drawing. Connect the bottom parabola to the runners by drawing the legs: they can be simple or patterned.
Step 3
Start giving the sleigh the look of Santa Claus's transport. Use colored pencils to get started - paint the sleigh in colors that your child thinks are truly New Years. It is usually customary to use red for the frame, and the runners may be brown. Then draw a large number of gift bags. Where they will be located and in what quantity is up to you. Place them near the sled, block the runners. Draw the bags in the sleigh, and then you don't have to carefully draw the curves of the back and seat.
Step 4
Don't draw deer if your drawing ability is not brilliant. However, if the child insists that there must be a team, depict the main deer - Rudolph. Set accents: branchy horns and a large red nose will distract attention from any inaccuracies in the drawing.
Step 5
Do not forget about decorations: Christmas tree garlands must be present on the sleigh. In addition, Santa Claus's vehicle must be in the air (in this case, place the roofs of houses in the lower part of the picture) or stand on a snow cover.
Step 6
To believably depict the sleigh of Santa Claus, you need to have not the gift of an artist, but the gift of a wizard who has not forgotten childhood. And the main condition is that you must be in a good mood, otherwise you will get a simple sleigh, unable to either rise into the air or overcome the entire globe in one night.
