Each interior requires special accessories, including a wall clock. But if the stores do not have a product that suits you, you can decorate an old clock with your own hands in the style that fits perfectly into the decor of the room.

It is necessary

  • - mass for modeling;
  • - transparent gel-based glue;
  • - acrylic paints;
  • - lace, ribbons;
  • - beads, beads, bugles;
  • - threads, needles;
  • - thick cardboard or plywood;
  • - nitro paint.

Instructions

Step 1

Use a sculpting mass, you can buy it in the creative departments of children's stores. Sculpt figures that harmoniously fit into your interior, for example, butterflies, gnomes, cars. Follow the instructions on the package, leave to dry completely. Glue them around the perimeter of the watch directly onto the frame. You can pre-paint it in the desired color. Use acrylic paints for this on wood (if the frame is made of this material) or on glass and ceramics if it is plastic. In this case, be careful not to scratch the watch.

Step 2

Decorate the watch with cloth and ribbons if its design does not include a protective glass. Line the lace around the perimeter of the dial, attach with clear gel-based glue. If you have a decorative lace 1-1.5 cm thick, line it with a snake along the contour of the watch. Sew beads, beads or bugles to the ribbons. You can make the dial itself out of colored paper or decorate with the help of a child's drawing.

Step 3

Create a laconic Art Nouveau clock. To do this, remove the protective glass, remove the frame. Cut a dial, oval, or other geometric shape out of heavy cardboard or plywood. Please note that its size must be at least twice the length of the minute hand. Cover the workpiece with nitro paint, try to avoid streaks. Apply a coat of paint to the sections as well. Cut out silhouettes of flowers, butterflies or other objects from paper or cardboard, choose a material in a contrasting color. Glue them on the surface of the future dial. Carefully cut the hole for the stud to which the arrows are attached. You can place it strictly in the middle of the figure or step back from the center a couple of centimeters. Insert the clockwork from the back, attach the hands. If the watch has a frame, slide it over the dial.
