A smartphone case is not only a protection of the phone from external damage, but also an accessory that emphasizes the individuality of the owner. A case woven from loom bands is the best way to make yourself known.
To weave a multi-colored cover with an oblique pattern, you will need a machine for weaving from Rainbow loom elastic bands, more than 200 pcs. colorful rubber bands and a well-lit workplace.
Take a machine of 12 pairs of posts and turn it towards you so that the grooves on the posts on the right look forward, and on the left - at you.
For the first row, use 11 elastic bands of the same color. Fold each elastic band in half. Put the elastic on the machine in the form of a figure eight diagonally: from the first left column to the second right, etc.
Repeat the row in reverse: from the first right column to the second left, etc. You should have criss-cross lines. Pull the elastic bands down to make room for the other rows.
Take 12 rubber bands of 2 of the same color. Wear them vertically along the left line in the usual way, without twisting, combining two columns and alternating colors: six elastic bands of different colors, then six elastic bands in the same color sequence. The last elastic is worn horizontally, joining the right and left columns.
The next row in the same color scheme is repeated along the right line. The last elastic also joins the right column with the left.
Crochet the lowest elastic from each post to form a knot. Again make the color row along the left line in the same sequence, omitting the first color (so that the drawing is oblique). And so in a circle. Crochet the bottom elastic.
Start the next color wheel with the third color, and so on. Crochet the bottom rubber bands after each lap. The number of rows depends on the size of the phone, on average you need about 33 rows.
After completing the last circle and removing all the bottom rubber bands, return to the first left column. Crochet the bottom layer of two elastic bands from the first left column and put it on the second left, from the second to the third column, etc. From the last column, the elastic bands are removed to the right side, and the weaving of the loops continues until the last right column.
On the last right column, you need to make a securing loop. Take any elastic and crochet it through the bottom elastic on the post, tying it in a knot. Carefully remove the remaining rubber bands from the machine. The cover is ready.
