Making soft toys is a very interesting activity that can turn into a favorite hobby. The toy can be sewn from any remnants of fabrics, ribbons, pieces of leather or fur, so this type of needlework will not require large investments and special devices.
It is necessary
old toy, paper (tracing paper, graph paper, cardboard), scissors, pencil
Instructions
Step 1
To create a pattern, take, for example, an old toy that you do not mind cutting. Very carefully unplug the threads with which the toy is sewn, being careful not to damage the edges of the parts. Spread out the parts from the toy, if necessary, steam them off so that the fabric is laid out evenly over the surface and it is more convenient to trace.
Step 2
Then spread the tracing paper or paper on a flat surface. Place the parts of the toy on top. Circle them very carefully with a pencil, then cut along the contour of the part. If you have the opportunity, make patterns in this way immediately on cardboard. It is thicker than plain paper or tracing paper and can be used several times afterwards. Also, cardboard patterns are better stored.
Step 3
Also, patterns can be found in specialized magazines or on the Internet. Most often, the patterns of toys in magazines are drawn small, and they need to be scaled to make a toy. Mark out the sheet on which the pattern is drawn in an even cage. Now the pattern needs to be redrawn onto a piece of paper.
Step 4
To do this, take graph paper, or draw a regular sheet of Whatman paper in a box. The width of the cage depends on the size of the toy you are planning to sew. If the cage on the pattern was with a side of 1 cm, then to double the pattern, the cage must be drawn with a side of 2 cm.
Step 5
Imagine yourself as an artist and carefully redraw the entire pattern square by square on a sheet of paper. It remains to cut the enlarged pattern and start cutting the future soft toy.
