If you often have to go fishing or just relax in nature, then you cannot do without a small folding chair. With a very strong desire, such a chair can be found and purchased in the store, but it is much more pleasant to apply your own hands and skills to its creation.
It is necessary
- - slats measuring 400x25 mm (4 pcs.);
- - slats measuring 200x25 mm (4 pcs);
- - fasteners (bolts);
- - electric drill;
- - wooden plank,
- - a hacksaw for wood,
- - plane,
- - file.
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare four wooden slats 400 mm long and 25 mm wide. Work them with a plane and file, rounding the corners on one side. From these elements you will make the legs of the chair in the future.
Step 2
On the side of the rounded ends of the prepared rails, drill holes equal in size to the diameter of the bolts. Make the same holes for the mounting bolts in the center of each leg.
Step 3
For shorter rails that will act as a holder, follow the same procedure.
Step 4
Take two legs and lay them flat on top of each other with the rounded ends facing up. Align the holes and bolt them together, but not too tight (the legs should rotate freely enough relative to each other). Do the same with the remaining two legs. Bolt the holders to the legs.
Step 5
Determine the width of your highchair. Saw off two rectangles from the board about 80 mm long and slightly larger than the intended width of the chair, but half the size of the holders. These elements will serve as a seat.
Step 6
Screw the seat elements onto the holders. On one of the seat elements, drill holes closer to the edges - you will need them for screwing from the outside. Your chair is almost ready. Now you can treat it with wood stain, varnish or paint it with waterproof paint.
