This "papyrus" can be used to create postcards, posters, signs, etc.
It is necessary
- - thick watercolor paper,
- - awl,
- - watercolor 3-5 colors of yellow and brown shades and 1 very dark brown or black,
- - hard flat brush.
Instructions
Step 1
We scratch the lines - along the long, and then along the short side. The distance between them is about 0.5 cm, but no rulers!
Step 2
Toning. We wet the entire sheet with water and go along the lines with watercolor. Each time we take a different color from the cooked ones. It will be very good to smudge the paint with your fingers and leave prints - just while it is wet! We paint the wrong side in the same way, but without scratching. Do not be afraid to put the wet top side on the table during this time (lay plastic or a bag), this will give it more texture.
Step 3
Edging. Until the paper is dry, we break off the edges and, if desired, make holes (first you need to break a little with an awl).
Step 4
"Burning" the edges. Here again it is very important that the paper is wet. If not, brush with a wide, clean, wet brush, grabbing a few inches from the edges. Now we go around the edges with the darkest color, holding the sheet vertically so that the paint can seep along the grooves. And so on each side.
