Unusual paintings for interior decoration can be made from simple materials that can be found in the homes of needlewomen. Just look at them from a creative point of view and with a little effort, you can create a masterpiece at a fraction of the cost.
Painting from threads and fabric
Choose a photo frame that is suitable for your painting. Try on a thick cardboard sheet for it. With a pencil, mark the edges that will go into the frame so that your volumetric work does not climb behind them.
Draw an abstract picture on a piece of paper with a pencil. If you don't know how to draw yourself, use a printout from your computer. Then, through a carbon copy, transfer the desired drawing onto cardboard. Cut a piece of paper into separate pieces, which you can cut from different pieces of fabric.
Coat a section of the picture with PVA glue and glue the desired piece to it. Smooth it well so that there are no bulges and wrinkles. Thus, collect the entire drawing.
Pieces of thin leather can be used instead of fabric. When creating a pattern from them, not only smooth the skin over the surface, but also crush it, enhancing the relief of the picture.
Use thick threads of a suitable color to glue all the joints of different pieces of fabric. You can also glue the threads over the shreds, creating a separate pattern from them.
Picture of branches
These paintings can be created from scrap natural materials. They will look original on the wall if you place a composition of three or four paintings at once.
For the craft, take a canvas stretched over a stretcher. You can make the base yourself. Chip off a few wooden frames from a piece of lumber of the desired thickness. Stretch a plain light-colored cloth over them, securing it with a stapler from the back of the frame.
Treat the fabric with acrylic primer. You can leave the background as it is, or paint it with acrylic paint of the desired color. Clean the selected tree branches from the fallen bark, cut off ugly or unnecessary areas. Cover the branches with paint or varnish if desired.
Lay out the resulting frames on the floor or table in the order you plan to hang them on the wall. Try on a suitable branch for each. It can be positioned diagonally or centered like a tree trunk. Turn on your imagination and be guided by the shape of your natural materials. Glue the branches in the chosen position.
You can not make a separate drawing on each canvas, but make a large branch that will go through all the frames. To do this, you can cut one branch into the number of frames or select different ones to create a single picture.
Complement the pictures with bright elements, choosing for each separate material for the leaves. They can be painted directly on the canvas with colored acrylic paints, cut out of bright fabric, use buttons, coins or shells.
Painting on foam
You will need a flat foam base in a round, rectangular or square shape. Cut out a piece of beautiful fabric according to its size and glue it to the foam. Decorate the sides with a narrow strip of the same fabric or a suitable braid. Attach a loop on the back of the styrofoam so that the painting can be hung on the wall.
