Knitting of any item of clothing - be it a jacket, sweater, jumper or vest - is never complete without the design of the neckline. There are many different ways to finish the neckline and close the loops on the finished garment. If you are learning to knit, learn some of them - the ability to process the neck on products knitted in different ways will help you create neat and beautiful things in the future.
Instructions
Step 1
The easiest way to complete the appearance of the neck is to knit a trim on the needles. To do this, dial the required number of loops along the edge of the future neckline on the circular knitting needles, and with a separate knitting needle, dial the loops along the edge from the edge loops.
Step 2
Knit the entire neckline so that it does not have to be stitched later. After you type the required number of loops, tie seven rows with a simple 1x1 elastic band, and then lay the product on a flat surface and start sewing the neck with a stitching stitch.
Step 3
Sew the neck tape on both the front and the wrong side so that it does not pull the edges of the garment. Do not tighten the seam too tight.
Step 4
You can sew the neckline in another way - for this, dial the loops, having previously calculated their number and knit a 2x2 elastic band, and then remove the edge loop and, having made a yarn, knit the next loop from the left knitting needle with the front knit. Continue knitting in the same way until you have completed the entire row.
Step 5
Moving to the next row, begin to remove all purl stitches on the right knitting needle without knitting them, placing the thread in front of work. Knit all yarns with knit stitches and turn the workpiece over, and then knit all the loops that you removed in the previous row with knit stitches.
Step 6
Repeat the same for the next three rows, then split the knitted fabric in two, placing each piece on its own knitting needle. Close the loops on one of the knitting needles in any way. Iron the part where you just closed the buttonhole, and then gently iron the part where the buttonhole was left open.
Step 7
Sew on the hem using a needle and thread as described above, starting from the left shoulder seam.
