A simple experiment: close your eyes and imagine a sunny yellow dandelion. Have you presented? What else do you see and feel? Surely someone will remember the hot summer or the wonderful springtime when these unpretentious flowers first appear. They give the promise of sun, summer and vacation. You can create this miracle with your own hands and it is not at all necessary to wait for spring or summer.

Step 1
The first method is suitable even for beginners. Take a plain yellow paper napkin. Fold it in half, then again. Repeat several times until you get a rectangle, about 2 x 2 cm. Using a stapler, carefully connect all the layers of the napkin in the center of the rectangle. Trim the edges so that you have a circle about 2 cm in diameter, stitched in the center with a stapler paper clip. The subsequent part of the work will require a fair amount of patience and accuracy. Use sharp scissors to cut out the dandelion petals. To do this, make cuts from the outer edge towards the center, leaving the core intact with a diameter of about 5 mm. The distance between the notches (petal width) should be about 1 mm. The petals must be gently ruffled with your finger and raised to the center. The main part of the work is done. To hide the paper clip from the stapler, you need to cut a strip about 3 mm wide and about 30 cm long from colored paper of the same shade. It is better to do this with a clerical knife or razor blade. Take a toothpick in your right hand, and a paper tape in your left. A strip of paper should be wound around a toothpick in such a way that you get an even, neat washer. The end of the paper tape must be secured with a drop of PVA glue. Lubricate the flat surface of the washer with PVA glue and glue to the center of the dandelion blank to hide the staple clip. This is enough to make a flat panel. It remains to cut a stem out of green paper (a strip of paper about 1.5-2 mm wide), leaves and decorate the picture.
Step 2
If you want to make a voluminous composition, you will have to spend a little more time and effort. From green paper, you need to cut a strip about 7 mm wide and twist it into a tight washer with a diameter of also 7 mm. If the strip is not long enough to create the desired volume, you can gently glue the two strips of paper. Since this element is very important for the correct attachment of the stem to the head of the dandelion, there needs to be a small hole in the center of the washer. Therefore, when twisting, it is more convenient to use not a toothpick, but a knitting needle or a thin pencil. From the same green paper, cut out small leaves - sepals - and glue them around the washer. Drop a drop of PVA glue into the center of the washer and place the flower head on it. The stem can be made of paper. Cut out an isosceles triangle, the long side (base of the triangle) will match the length of the stem. Roll gently from top to bottom. The edge of the paper tape should be fixed with PVA glue. You can also make the stem from a thin green cocktail tube.
Step 3
Even a dandelion bud can be made using the "quilling" technique. To do this, you need a strip of yellow paper about 12 mm wide and about 300 mm long. The length depends on the thickness of the paper and the desired volume of the bud. Make frequent transverse cuts along the entire strip, not reaching the edge of 2-3 mm. The thinner the fringe is, the more natural the flower will look. From green paper, cut a strip about 10 mm wide and about 25 mm long. Cut a strip of paper across the entire length, but so that the ends at the fringe are sharp. Glue the strips of paper together so that the straight edges line up without cuts to create a long, two-colored paper tape. Using a wooden toothpick, twist the tight washer, starting at the yellow end. The edge of the tape should be secured with a drop of glue. Use your finger to gently fluff the bud.
