Why does boomerang flight look so exciting? Every time you wait with a sinking heart: will it fly? Will not fall? What if he doesn't come back? And still it comes back. Why? And how to make sure that he returned by all means? How to use a boomerang?

If you first picked up this one of the oldest inventions of mankind, you need to remember that the very first attempts to launch it can be very long and unpredictable, so be patient and please choose uninhabited places, such as a field or a stadium, the radius of which should be at least 40 - 60 meters.

The boomerang should be launched from the center of the circle you have chosen. The thing is that, flying, the boomerang describes the "eight": you throw it in front of you, and you catch it from behind.

It is quite simple to use a boomerang, but the main thing here is “skill, hardening, training”. You need to know some rules:

  1. The front side of the boomerang is convex. As a rule, there is a drawing on it. The back side is flat. It is necessary to take the boomerang so that the thumb is on the front side, and not on the flat side, and it does not matter in which direction the "wing" of the boomerang is facing - backward or forward. Clamped about three centimeters of the boomerang itself, i.e. its very tip. Light boomerangs are clamped with three fingers, heavy boomerangs are fisted.
  2. One of the most common launch mistakes is that the boomerang is thrown almost parallel to the ground, as a result of which the boomerang flies up immediately and also falls rapidly. The launch should be perpendicular to the ground, with a slight (no more than forty-five degrees) tilt to the right.
  3. The throw must be strong enough to take off, loop and return. Throw a boomerang in front of you, focus on the horizon line. Don't try to throw it too high. The boomerang will gain height by itself.
  4. There is one caveat that will help you gain a foothold. The boomerang should be thrown against the wind. Although, if the wind is too strong, then the launch should be postponed. In general, the lower the wind strength, the better.
  5. You have mastered half of the job. Now about the second half.

  6. Boomerangs are caught by slapping hands one on top of the other. Not everyone succeeds in such a seemingly simple procedure, and not the first time. So if you have reached this stage, we can congratulate you, you have mastered such a simple lesson as launching a boomerang!
