The main feature of a boomerang is that after being thrown, it is able to return back to its owner. This toy is, of course, very interesting. You can, of course, buy it just in the store. But nevertheless, it will be much more pleasant to make a neat boomerang yourself, for example, from plain paper.
It is necessary
- - a sheet of A4 paper;
- - smooth solid surface;
- - glue;
- - scissors.
Instructions
Step 1
So how to make a paper boomerang? Fold A4 sheet in half parallel to the long side. Use scissors to cut the paper along the fold. You should have two long rectangles. Put one of them aside. You won't need it.
Step 2
Take the remaining sheet and fold it in half again parallel to the long side. Expand the rectangle. Fold each of its edges inward towards the center fold line (parallel to it). This should be done so that the edges do not reach the line by about 1 mm.
Step 3
Turn the folded rectangle with the short side facing you. Fold it in two again, but now not along, but across. Flip the folded rectangle with the fold line away from you.
Step 4
At the place of the fold line, bend the edges towards the center with a triangle, as if you were making an airplane. Drag your finger along both fold lines. Unfold the edges so that you get a rectangle again.
Step 5
Next, to make a boomerang, unfold the rectangle along the transverse fold line. Also fold back one of the edges folded longitudinally in the first step. Leave the second edge folded. After you have done all these operations, you will see a square of bends in front of you.
Step 6
Raise the folded edge perpendicular to the table surface with your left hand and hold it in this position in the future.
Step 7
With your right hand, fold the paper along the line dividing the emerging square of folds diagonally, lifting it up. During this operation, your entire paper strip will bend at an angle in the form of a boomerang.
Step 8
Bend the resulting triangular diagonal edge from the square, rising above the table, in the direction away from you. You have almost answered the question of how to make a paper boomerang for yourself. There are just a few simple steps left to go through.
Step 9
Bend the part that you held with your hand inward. Then slide your right hand over it from yourself to the very end. Fold the inner, adjacent part of the strip over it. You will end up with one side of the boomerang. In this case, the second inner part of the toy will fall into place by itself.
Step 10
Unroll the boomerang with the finished side facing you. Fold the outer part of its second side under the inner one (under the one that itself fell into place in the previous step). Now it remains only to cut the edges of the sides of the boomerang at an angle of 45 degrees and glue the layers in this place so that they do not diverge.
