On stage, Dmitry Sokolov from Uralskiye Dumplings loves to joke and have fun, but he has a completely different approach to life: two marriages and five children. A father with many children tries to help all his heirs and maintain good relations with both spouses.
Student marriage
Dmitry Sokolov met his first wife Natalia in a student construction brigade. At that time, they were students of one university - the Ural Polytechnic, but studied at different faculties: Natalya at the economics, and Dmitry at the chemical-technological. The blue-eyed beauty was fascinated by the charming Sokol (this is how Dmitry was called by friends both in his student years and now, during his successful career as a showman). In addition, Dmitry turned out to be a gallant gentleman and beautifully courted Natalia.
The couple's life was eventful: study, work in a construction brigade, youth parties and, of course, KVN. In those years, Dmitry was an active player in the Club (at first it was the Neighbors team, then he created Uralskiye Pelmeni).
In their first marriage, Dmitry and Natalya had two children: the first-born (son Alexander) was born in 1992, and daughter Anna - in 2002. The reason for the couple's divorce was Natalya's fatigue from Dmitry's constant absence from home. He disappeared on tour, rehearsed a lot with the team. A man could devote very little time to his family, and the main burdens of life fell on the shoulders of his wife.
The showman's mother Irina Aleksandrovna said in an interview that the divorce was not easy for the spouses, but they managed to maintain a good relationship. At the time of the breakup, the children were still minors. Natalia acted wisely, not forbidding her father to see them.
Love affair at work
After the divorce, Sokolov did not stay long as a bachelor. Ksenia Li, a member of the Irina Mikhailovna KVN team, became his new darling. Ksyusha is a native of Kazakhstan (she was born in 1988) and a real oriental beauty.
The girl played as part of the team on stage, and Dmitry was on the jury and had to evaluate the performances of young teams. As the friends of the couple say, Ksenia immediately liked Dmitry. He, with his characteristic gallantry, began to show her attention. The comedian did not immediately respond to the courtship, because she was embarrassed by the big age difference - 23 years.
The turning point in their relationship was the New Year's trip to Sochi. Dmitry then surrounded Xenia with such care and tenderness that she realized - here he is, the man of her life.
The novel developed rapidly. Joint trips on tour and on vacation, meeting with friends and colleagues on stage in restaurants, etc.
Ksenia received an offer to marry by phone: due to problems with documents, she could not fly to Egypt, where Uralskiye Dumplings were on tour, so she had to stay at home. Dmitry consoled his beloved in such an unusual way - he called her in marriage.
The wedding of Dmitry Sokolov and Ksenia Lee took place on September 8, 2011 in Yekaterinburg. It was a very beautiful holiday: the bride in a snow-white dress decorated with a lilac belt-bow, the groom chose a suit in light colors for the ceremony. And also this wedding was very fun, because it was attended by friends-humorists.
However, in the life of comedians there were not only funny moments. Due to long-standing problems with her legs (deformity of the feet), Ksenia suffered from pain, at some point in her life she was even forced to move with crutches. Dmitry helped his wife decide on an operation, after which her condition improved significantly. But before the girl took her first steps without pain, it took a recovery period. Dmitry was always there, surrounding his beloved with care.
Three kids
Today Dmitry and Ksenia have three children. The comedian wrote about her third pregnancy on Instagram, which caused a flurry of congratulations from subscribers.
Daughter Masha was born in October 2012, and in April 2015 son Ivan was born. As Dmitry joked, the boy was born during the protracted half-century anniversary of his dad. The parents named their youngest daughter, born in May 2017, Sophia (although initially there were thoughts of giving the girl an unusual name John). Dmitry and Ksenia adhere to a secular lifestyle, but religion occupies an important place in their family structure: children are baptized, they visit churches with their whole family, and celebrate Orthodox holidays.
The showman's instagram has a lot of joint photos with his second wife and younger children: they travel a lot, try to spend as much time as possible together on weekdays. The Sokolovs have a cozy and spacious house, which also has pets.
Ksenia not only brings up three kids and organizes the life of her large and cheerful family, she also helps her husband write scripts for the Ural Dumplings show and tries to be present at all the shootings. Together with the team, the woman goes on tour, and during live performances she can be seen in the auditorium.
