Cinema is a synthetic form of art in which action unfolds simultaneously in space and time; at the same time, it combines elements of other types of art: literature, music, drama, design, sometimes dance, and always modern technology and equipment. In the filming of a film, only one person cannot be involved - it is always the work of a team of specialists, each of whom is responsible for a certain area of work.

Step 1
Shooting begins with a plot. State the events of your future film in sequence. Try to use as much detail and detail as possible in action. You do not need to describe every subject, stop only on the main thing. The result of this description is a synopsis. If you are debuting as a director, then it is better to use a small plot, for a short film - count on 10-30 minutes of action.
Step 2
Register the synopsis with the copyright society, so that in the event of theft of intellectual property, you can prove that it belongs to you. Only then go in search of a screenwriter.
A professional screenwriter will not work for free. This will be the first, but not the only, waste on the road to making a film.
Step 3
A screenwriter creates a literary script, but you need a director's script for the job. You will have to do it yourself. It should have several columns: the first indicates the action, the second is a replica, the third is the time in seconds, and the fourth is the required materials and funds. The script page corresponds to a minute of screen time, so write in as much detail as possible, but do not go into unnecessary details: do not focus on the description of eye color, face or other traits of the characters - the camera will do it for you.
Step 4
Based on the director's script, calculate the estimate for the film, indicating the cost of all the necessary equipment, fees and other expenses. With this estimate, start going through funds, large firms, production centers. Promise advertising for sponsorship, but don't wait for instant approval. It is better to contact such organizations whose activities are related to the plot of the film. In this case, the advertisement will be clearly visible and understandable.
Step 5
Having found the money, start looking for a film crew: composer, actors, cameramen, designers, and the rest of the necessary participants. If you are on a budget, contact theater students and film and television students. They can agree to participate without a fee, for the sake of experience.
Step 6
Start filming. Lead the process in all its aspects: camera positions, actors' behavior, clothing and location choices, etc. Repeat scenes until you get at least one good take.
Step 7
After filming, editing begins. At this stage, the filmed material is put in proper order. If necessary (if the take seemed unsuccessful), additional filming is done. The soundtrack provided by the composer is mixed, special effects and titles are added.
