People's Artist of Ukraine Ekaterina Buzhinskaya was born on August 13, 1979 in a family of metallurgists. Parents at that time lived in the polar city of Norilsk. My father worked as a drifter at a mining and processing plant. Mother taught mathematics at school. When the girl was three years old, the family returned to the city of Chernivtsi, to the homeland of their ancestors. The girl showed musical abilities from an early age.
Already in elementary school, Buzhinskaya began to study in the children's ensemble "Voiced Voices", which operated at the local palace of pioneers. After the eighth grade, the future pop star entered a music college. As a second year student, Ekaterina reached the final of the famous television competition "Morning Star". This success brought the singer not only a prestigious award, but also set the vector of movement to new heights.
On the professional stage
In 1996, after winning the Veselad song festival, Buzhinskaya moved to Kiev to get a higher education at the Moscow Institute of Music at the pop vocal department. Along with her studies, the performer was actively involved in concert activities. Two years later, Ekaterina receives the Grand Prix at the Slavianski Bazaar-98 festival. During this period, she closely collaborated with the composer Alexander Zlotnik and the poet Yuri Rybchinsky.
The first result of this collaboration was the album "Music I Love". Buzhinskaya's performing career developed along an increasing trajectory. Buzhinskaya found her feminine happiness on the third attempt. She married Dmitry Stoychev, a businessman from Bulgaria. Today, husband and wife live under the same roof.
