You can use not only floral material, but also branches, stems, leaves, cones and tree bark. Having selected the materials necessary for the composition, they must be carefully prepared. This is especially true for fragile petals and leaves. There are two ways to prepare plant material for collage.
Step 2
Flowers and leaves can be treated with wallpaper glue. To do this, the glue must be diluted with water in a small container according to the recipe indicated on the package and apply the glue to the plants with a brush. Then put the material on a film and dry.
Step 3
The second way is to process the flowers with a plaster solution. We dilute dry gypsum with water until a liquid sour cream is obtained. We dip the plant material into the composition and lay it out to dry. After the flowers are dry, they are painted with acrylic paints or floral spray.
Step 4
Then the resulting flowers can be glued to the base with a florist gun. The basis for a terra collage can be different. Primed cardboard, canvas on a stretcher, thick cardboard, fiberboard serve as the basis for work. After we put a fine-grained putty on the base with a spatula, you can start fixing the material on it.
