In 1987, playing in the fire brigade in the city of Voronezh, he had nothing to do with the work of the "Gas Sector". In 1989, the founder of the Gaza Strip group, Yura Klinskikh, invited the musician as a lead guitarist.

The first five recorded albums became hits in rock music:

  5. 1991 - "The Night Before Christmas".

In 1991, Igor Kushchev's mother became seriously ill, he had to leave Voronezh and leave the Gaza Strip group. Yura Klinskikh immediately took on another guitarist.

School group

In the same year, 1991, without leaving the "Sector" Igor Kushchev created his own musical group called "School", which existed for four years. Together with his bandmates V. Chernykh, I. Bondarenko, V. Sukochev he recorded six albums:

  1. "School Rock"
  2. "The pig loves dirt"
  3. "Dead zone",
  4. "We're not all crazy yet"
  5. "Our guys are hard to intimidate."

Unfortunately, none of them have been officially published. Four of the six albums of the School were released on Soviet magnetic ninety-minute cassettes.

From 94th "School" ceased to exist and the rock musician temporarily stopped his musical activity.

Ex-Gaza Group

In 2000, the founder of the Gaza Strip group, Yuri Klinskikh, suddenly died. The famous Igor Kushchev decided to create a group again and signed a contract to record an album with the recording studio "Gala Records". He named the new project "Ex-Gaza".

In 2001, the first album "Radioactive Smile" was released, on which worked: I. Kushchev, A. Krivokhata, T. Fateeva, A. Deltsov, S. Guznin. In the same year, the second album "Indifference and Common Sense" was released.

In 2002, relations with the Gala Records studio were severed due to the unprofitability of the Ex-Gas Sector project. That is why Igor Kushchev recorded his third album “Fiery Paradise” in his home studio in Voronezh. The song "Drank" from this album was included in the official soundtrack of Guy Ritchie's film "Rock and Roller".

In the 16th year, the musician created a new project "Smoke of Rock and Roll". There were concerts in the cities of Ivanovo, the Arena Rich club, Yaroslavl, the Gorka club, Voronezh, Balagan City, Moscow, St. Petersburg and other cities.

Personal life of Igor Kushchev

From his first marriage, Igor Kushchev has a daughter, Catherine. From the second marriage - daughter Victoria. The guitarist is in a third marriage, his wife's name is Nadezhda, the couple has three children. In 2009 and 2011, the rock musician experienced two heart attacks, after which he categorically quit drinking alcohol. In February 2017, the musician had an accident, he was hit by a car at a pedestrian crossing. As a result of the incident, Igor Kushchev received numerous injuries.
