First you need to select the fabric to sew. Curtains for a nursery perform several functions at once, so the choice of fabric must be approached responsibly. Step 2
Then you need to choose the length of the curtains. If the child is still small, then you can sew the curtains up to the window sill or slightly higher so that it is convenient to close and open them.

The width of the curtains depends on the width of the window opening and the number of folds in the drapery. If the fabric is quite dense, then you can choose a regular tape and make the curtains one and a half times wider than the opening. If the fabric is transparent, then it can be draped more with a special tape that will make tight folds. In this case, you will need to plan for the purchase of fabric two or three times the width of the window.
Step 4
Then the fabric needs to be cut, cut the bottom so that it is even, process the bottom edge with an overlock or hem stitch, and sew a special tape on top of the curtain. After sewing, the tape will need to be pulled off using special cords.
