Mother Tamara Fedorovna Pletneva worked as a teacher of choreography, and her father was an engineer-inventor. In addition to Cyril, his younger brother Mikhail was also brought up in the family.
At the age of 13, the teenager had to experience the bitterness of his parents' divorce, after which he never saw his father again. The mother independently put her sons on their feet, instilling in them a love of sports and a strong-willed character. Due to the possibility of the negative influence of the street on her sons, she maximally loaded them with classes in various sections. Kirill studied in a specialized class with an emphasis on football. And besides that, he practiced dancing, mountaineering, swimming and taekwondo.
But sports and choreography could not satisfy the inquisitive nature of Pletnev, in connection with which he read a lot and voraciously. He liked the adventure works of V. Krapivin, fantastic literature. At the same time, the guy was carried away by the world of poetry, in which he found a real outlet, starting to compose lyric works on his own. After receiving a certificate of secondary education in 1996, Kirill entered the Academy of Theater Arts in St. Petersburg, where, on the course with V. Petrov, he was able to reveal his acting talent. After graduating from his university, Pletnev began his professional career with cooperation with several theaters in the city at once. And after a while he decided that only in the capital one can fully realize himself and become famous.
