Step 2
Cover the mold with a special paint for exterior work, which is highly durable and will withstand about eight years of use. Make a fiberglass boat. To do this, you need to add a certain amount of fiberglass to the plastic resin. Fiberglass is an ideal material for shipbuilding because it is glass, which is a very thin flexible fiber that does not burn, stretch, or decay over time.
Step 3
Place fiberglass in every slot, every nook and cranny of your mold. This must be done very carefully and carefully, because otherwise you will not be able to do anything about the structural defects of the boat. After enough heat has accumulated in the fiberglass, it will harden.
Step 4
Roll the roving material over the fiberglass. It enhances all the properties of fiberglass and makes it more resistant. In those places where you plan to attach equipment later, you need to place wooden parts. To protect them from the damaging effects of moisture, cover the parts with fiberglass.
Step 5
Pull the casting out of the wooden mold when one hour has passed. Use the levers to raise the boat's hull. Cut holes for mechanics. Insert motor, wiring, piping. Conduct a series of tests to ensure that your boat is watertight.
