The rules are simple: one of the players calls out a word, and the next one in turn must come up with a word that begins with the final letter of the named word, for example: "Les - Skipping rope". The next player comes up with a word with the last letter worse than this word: "skipping rope - Orange", etc. If the word ends with b or b, then the next player must come up with a word with a letter preceding b or b: "steel - lopat - torpedo". The one who is unable to come up with a word for the required letter is eliminated from the game.
Step 3
In addition to the basic rules, the word game can have a number of additional prohibitions, which are negotiated by the players in advance. For example, you can name only common nouns in the nominative singular (except for words that are not used in the singular ("sanki", "manty"). Or you can not use other parts of speech (verbs, adjectives, adverbs, etc.). the same time, nouns formed from other parts of speech are not prohibited. You can also not or can call abstract nouns ("unity", "mercy") - the players agree on this separately. You can not use proper nouns: personal names of people, animal nicknames, topographic names, etc.
Step 4
If desired, the list of prohibitions can be shortened or expanded. It is clear that the list of rules and prohibitions largely depends on the general erudition and level of knowledge of the players. When playing with young children, adults should not use words that are difficult for a child, incomprehensible to him, words like "inventory", "Armageddon", etc. too often, although it is also not worth giving up such words altogether, especially if an adult can explain clearly the child their meaning - so, playing, the baby will replenish his vocabulary.
Step 5
To diversify and complicate the game, you can come up with various options. So, one of the variants of the word game is the game of cities, when, according to the same principle, the players name only topographic names, mainly of settlements. This game helps to expand horizons and stimulates cognitive activity in the study of geography. Only rivers, only lakes, only mountain ranges, etc. can be called similarly. You can complicate the conditions by limiting the use of words and other topics, for example, "animals", "plants", "edible" and others.
