In Terraria, as in many similar games, it is extremely important for the player's character to stay alive in the difficult conditions of various biomes and at the same time manage to extract the resources necessary for crafting valuable items. In case of his death, it is better to revive in a safe place in order to have time to prepare for a meeting with insidious monsters. A home built with your own hands is ideal for this - if you install a bed in it.
Where in terraria you can craft a bed
In his own house on the Terraria map, the player should definitely get a bed first. Such an object serves primarily not for sleep (computer characters do not get tired in the usual sense of the word), but to create a respawn point - respawn. In addition, it is also an object of comfort, without which a home is unthinkable.
When a gamer character dies, it is better for him to reappear in a safe place, where monsters will not get to him. There he will be able to recruit the necessary weapons and armor and so prepare to meet new adventures and hostile creatures.
The ceiling in the room for installing the bed should not be too high. Otherwise, the bed will be useless as a respawn point. For the same reason, one should not make the room of such a "bedroom" too spacious.
However, in order for everything to work out with the respawn point, it will not be enough just to craft the bed and click on it with the right mouse button. So that it does not remain a simple bed for sleeping, it is necessary to create certain conditions in the building where the gamer plans to install it.
So, the size of the room in width and height must be made at least eight and four blocks, respectively. In addition, the walls of the room should be made of any solid material, but under no circumstances from dirt. Also, at least one wall - the back one - must be built by the player himself, and not represent the natural terrain.
Often, a gamer uses a room with a bed to settle various useful NPCs there (such as a guide or a nurse). In this case, a prerequisite for installing the bed will be the presence of a door in the building (by the way, for the dwelling of the player's character, such a requirement is also relevant).
The way to make such an item correctly
A bed in Terraria can be crafted from a variety of materials, and the composition of the crafting ingredients will affect the appearance of the finished item. The easiest way is to make a bed of various types of wood - ordinary, ebonite, mahogany (red), perlite, gloomy, living, etc.
There are several types of beds in Terraria that cannot be crafted. For example, a golden bed knocked out from pirates, which can be in hell, obsidian or red, green or blue from Dungeon.
For any of them, you will first need five units of silk. It will not be difficult to create it if the player has a loom in his arsenal. Cobwebs will serve as raw materials for crafting silk - a dozen of them are needed in total.
Making wooden beds is unthinkable without a sawmill. In the event that the player did not have time to acquire it, he can always eliminate such an omission. The main thing is that there should be wood (in the amount of ten blocks) and iron in his inventory. From the latter, you should smelt a couple of ingots and create one chain. It is from this number of necessary materials that a sawmill is being built.
To craft a bed, you need five blocks of silk and fifteen blocks of the corresponding type of wood. Other bed options are also available - honey, glass, steampunk, dinosaur and cactus hammock. To create them, it is necessary to replace wood in the crafting recipe with the same amount, respectively, of crispy honey, glass, gears, lizard bricks or cactus.
