Darts originated several centuries ago and has become a traditional game in the USA, Great Britain, and the Netherlands. Matches in this sport are held annually at various levels - from amateur competitions to the World Championship. You can join traditions and start the path to professional darts at home by making a dartboard and darts with your own hands.
It is necessary
- - wire;
- - lead;
- - wooden block;
- - wooden plank;
- - paper;
- - glue;
- - compasses;
- - paint.
Instructions
Step 1
A dart consists of three parts: a shaft, a body and a tail. Start making it from the core. Cut a piece 12.5 cm long from a skein of wire with a diameter of 3 mm. Sharpen its end so that the point sticks into the tree. The length of the sharpened section should not exceed 1 cm.
Step 2
Cast off the body of the dart. Take a wooden block, drill a hole in it with a diameter of 6 mm and a depth of 3.5 cm. You will need lead for pouring - you can cut it into small pieces from an old cable. Fold the cut pieces into a steel bowl and melt. Pour liquid lead into a wooden mold, and after cooling completely with an ax, split the bar. Drill a 3 mm longitudinal through hole in the body of the dart.
Step 3
Pour metal glue into the hole and put the body of the dart on the rod: put it on from the side of the tip, fix the body 2 centimeters from it and leave it until the glue dries.
Step 4
Cut out the isosceles triangle tail blanks from whatman paper or watercolor paper. The height of the part is 4 cm, and the width of the base is 3 cm. Cut four blanks and bend them in half along the central axis. Having smeared the "wings" of the parts with glue, attach them to each other. It is important not to press them right away, but to leave a hole in the center. With the end of the dart through this hole, press the tail against the shaft and hold until the glue dries.
Step 5
Make a dart board. Take a wooden board with a thickness of at least 1.5 cm. Cut out a square with a side of 50 cm. Using a compass, draw on the workpiece three circles with a radius of 6, 35 mm ("bull's eye"), 107 mm ("trebles" ring) and 170 mm (ring of "doubles"). Step 8 mm inward from each ring and draw circles.
Step 6
Divide the entire round field into 20 equal sectors, as shown in the figure. Label each segment with a number indicating the number of points. With acrylic paint, paint the wedges of the field alternately in black and white (segment with 20 points - black, 1 - white, etc.). Make the part of the rim of the ring above each black segment red, and above the white - green. Fill the center of the "apple" with red, the ring around it - green.
