Instructions

Step 1

First of all, the stance from which you are throwing must be comfortable: the body weight is transferred to one leg; the hand in which you are holding the dart is slightly pulled back; you can swing without disturbing the balance of the body. Do not forget that you should not go beyond the line of the throw - usually it is 2.37 meters and is marked with a special bar. The standard target is 1.73 meters above the floor.

Step 2

The number of throws in one approach is three. If your dart just touches the target and bounces off it or falls out of the target during a throw, this throw does not score (although according to some rules you continue throwing until at least one dart is fixed on the target).

Step 3

The target is divided into sectors, for hitting which a certain number of points are counted, from 1 to 20 - they appear on the sectors themselves. Behind the sectors closer to the center of the target there is an outer narrow ring - double, it means doubling the points of the sector, and behind it an inner narrow ring - treble, which means tripling of points. Traditionally, these narrow rings are colored red and green. A wider green ring surrounds the center of the target and will score 25 points for hitting it. Well, in the very center is the so-called bull's-eye, or bulls-ah, it is red and brings 50 points.

Step 4

Usually, each player starts with a score of 301 (as an option - 501), and why subtract the received points from this number until he reaches zero. If the last throw brought more points than necessary, it does not count, and the turn goes to the next player.

Step 5

In an amateur game of darts, throws can be made in sectors at random, but usually, according to the rules, you need to hit the sectors in turn, from 1 to 20, then double, treble, and finally the bull's-eye. If all three throws reach the target in order (for example, 1, 2, 3), that player's turn remains, and he can shoot further. The winner is the one who hits the bull's-eye first - in the literal sense of the word.
