It is unlikely that beautiful church singing leaves anyone indifferent. The feeling is created that you are in some other blessed world, and not on earth. Many parishioners, even those who have no musical education, dream of adding their voices to the harmonious sound of church choral singing.

Step 1
Learn to read fluently in Church Slavonic: Read the prayer book and other books written in that language every day at home to practice understanding and pronouncing words.
Step 2
To sing correctly in a church choir, learn solfeggio and musical notation. If you have little memory of your singing lessons at school, take a class or church singing class. They will help you develop the connection between hearing and voice.
Step 3
Ask the diocese or the parish priest which churches have such circles. If they are not there, contact the choir director, perhaps, having listened to you, he will allow you to sing in the choir. Please note that at first you will only sing the "Lord have mercy" litany. Try to sing softly and listen to the sound of the whole choir.
Step 4
Do not try to learn osmoglash on your own, because in each temple their tunes are slightly different. It is advisable to immediately learn the chant of the temple where you intend to carry kliros obedience.

Stand in the choir next to the most experienced singer and watch him sing closely to learn your part, repeat it after him. It is advisable that he sang directly into your ear. Make music at home on your own. Take notes from the choir director and use a musical instrument to practice church chants. Sing them along with the instrument, naming notes instead of syllables. Keep track of the duration of the notes. When learning, you can play one part (soprano) on the synthesizer, and sing another (for example, alto).

If there is no tool, use other benefits of civilization. Record your part or the general sound of the choir on a dictaphone. At home, listen and chant a few times, correcting errors if necessary. Download a sheet music training program on the Internet and use it. Then you can move on to sight-reading.
Step 8
Ask an experienced teacher for one-to-one lessons. He will notice all the flaws and tell you in which direction you still need to work.
