Step 1
In order to draw a manga-style face, you need to choose the right proportions. To do this, you need to make a preliminary sketch. First, draw a circle, divide it into three equal segments horizontally and two vertically, the nose will be located on this line. Extend the vertical line out of the circle downwards, its end will be the chin. The longer you draw this segment, the more elongated the face will turn out. Now draw two tangents to the chin segment, along which draw two semicircles. This will give you the correct face shape.
Step 2
The next step is drawing the eyes. The eyes should be equidistant from the vertical line in the lower third of the circle. Start drawing the eyes, marking the upper and lower borders of the eyelids with lines. Then draw the ovals for the eyes, don't forget about the highlights. Draw the character's eyebrows with rounded thin lines.
Step 3
Now we need to draw the nose. From the lowest point of the circle, start drawing a line of it. The nose of the manga characters is painted very small and pointed. You can mark it with one short line pointing from bottom to top left or right. The ear line is approximately level with the eyes.
Step 4
Draw the mouth just below the nose line - the upper lip should be very short with a solid or broken line in the middle. Draw a line or line for the lower lip. Leave room for a high forehead and start drawing the hairline, you can also cover your forehead with wide and long bangs. Do not draw hair strands in detail, it is enough to select only a few of them.
Step 5
If you want to draw the character in profile, draw the same circle and divide it into three equal parts, both horizontally and vertically. Continue the left vertical line down outside the circle, then draw a tangent down from the left edge of the circle, parallel to this line, its end will be the character's chin.
Step 6
Draw the eye using the resulting circle segments. It needs to be drawn in the lower-left part of it, while the eyebrow line will be in the segment above. Draw in strands of hair, closing the border of their growth. Finish the drawing by painting the hair.
