How to sew the sun

It is necessary

  • - thin yellow fleece,
  • - sewing machine,
  • - synthetic winterizer,
  • - satin ribbon or yellow cord 14 cm long,
  • - threads of yellow, white, blue, black, pink and brown colors,
  • - a needle.

Instructions

Step 1

Make patterns out of paper or cardboard. Draw a circle with a diameter of 13 cm and a triangle with a base of 3.5 cm and a height of 3 cm.

Step 2

Cut out two circles and 20 triangles. Leave 1 cm for allowances. On each circle, from edge to edge, draw two intersecting lines at right angles. At the end of each line, make a shallow dart so that the sun disc is straight after sewing the two sides together.

Step 3

Take one circle and pencil in the eyes, nose, smiling mouth, eyebrows and cheeks. Fill the drawn eye with white thread by hand or on a sewing machine. On top of the white embroidery, apply blue stitches and in the center embroider a black speck with a white speck that simulates glare of light. Embroider the outline and eyelashes with black thread. In the middle of the circle, just below the eyes, embroider the nose with brown threads, and even below the mouth. Place small pink cheek spots in the corners of the mouth.

Step 4

Fold the triangles in pairs with the right sides and sew, leaving the side of the base unsewn. Cut seam allowances close to the stitching. Turn out the triangles, you get the rays of the sun. Place all triangles on one of the circles. Place them on the front side around the entire circumference, directing the corners to the center. Accept.

Step 5

Attach a string or satin ribbon along with the triangles so that the sun can be hung. Now fold both round pieces right side in and sew along the outer edge. Leave the bottom unstitched. Turn out the toy through this hole and stuff it with padding polyester or washed sheep wool. Sew up the hole.

Step 6

If the sun is not just an interior decoration, but also a toy for the baby, then instead of padding polyester fill it with wheat, rapeseed or cherry pits. Preheat in the microwave or oven. This will help the baby to get calming and stress relief from playing with the sun. And a dream with such a toy will become sweet and serene.
