Ready-made thematic albums dedicated to the birth of a baby can be bought today in many stores. It is enough to stick photographs in them - and the job is done. However, many parents want not only to capture the most important moments in the life of their child, but also to arrange the pictures in an original way. The popular scrapbooking technique will come to the rescue. This is a whole art that allows you to decorate each page or spread of an album (scrapbook) in an original way.
It is necessary
- - an album with cardboard sheets;
- - scrapbooking paper;
- - glue stick;
- - acrylic paints;
- - satin ribbon;
- - stationery knife or trimmer;
- - decorative items (buttons, newspapers, patches, colored paper, beads, etc.).
Instructions
Step 1
Buy a special scrapbooking album or use a regular one with cardboard sheets. If you wish, you can make it yourself using a set of various scrap-blanks made of thick colored cardboard. In any case, you will need colored backgrounds - scrapbooking paper. It is extremely decorative, and most importantly, it does not turn yellow from time to time.
Step 2
Find interesting photos and memorabilia that you would like to keep alongside them. This can be: a baby bandage-tag from the hospital, ultrasound images, the first drawings of the baby, etc.
Step 3
Think over themed compositions and head them: "My parents", "First meeting", "Favorite toys", "Walk in the garden", "My friends", etc.
Step 4
Prepare decorative elements that will make up a harmonious collage. They must necessarily be associated with the photograph and with each other in color, content, shape. In classic scrapbooking, newspaper clippings are often used; Colored paper, stickers, beads and beads, decoupage (paper applique), acrylic paints, rags, postcards, magazine clippings, buttons, etc. will also be used. You can also find special sets of jewelry for scrapbooks in stores, but the material at hand gives the pages a special charm and originality.
Step 5
Try to design one of the pages of the children's album. First, glue the background - a sheet of scrapbooking paper in pink or blue (depending on the gender of your baby) with glue-pencil. At the bottom, place a scalloped edge 5-8 cm high. It is recommended to choose a pattern that does not get bored over time and remains out of fashion - polka dots, check or strip.
Step 6
Decide where to place your child's favorite baby portrait. Cut out a frame out of paper (to match the border) according to the size of the picture. You can make an even cut using a ruler and a clerical knife, or with a special tool - a trimmer. It presses the paper tightly and is equipped with a sharp cutter.
Step 7
Glue the main elements of the page, then proceed with additional decor. Cut out large letters from newspaper sheets and use them to compose the child's name on top of the sheet. Stepping back a little from the right edge, glue two blue (pink) satin ribbons vertically. They should differ from the main background by 1-2 tones. In the center of the page, tie the segments and form a bow.
Step 8
Attach a hospital tag to the corner of the photo, or make a new one out of cardboard. Sign it as you wish, for example: "Our baby is 7 days old."
Step 9
Continue to design the children's album to your liking. Introduce a variety of materials. Think over the composition in advance. For example, for the page "First Visit to the Puppet Theater" you can use: a background made of a piece of tulle, reminiscent of a stage; appliques made of paper, cotton wool and buttons (figurines of dolls from the play); a preserved ticket and a photograph of the child in the auditorium. For the page "Kid in the Forest": green background; applications in the form of trees and flowers; natural material: photo frame - "tree branch" painted with acrylic paint.
Step 10
Dedicate an entire spread to your child's anniversary. It is recommended to simulate film: stick a strip of black paper and attach small photographs of the same size to it. They will show how your child has grown and developed. Decorate the main background with images of party caps, cake and candles. You can take pictures of the participants of the children's party in different formats and randomly paste them on the spread of the album.
