The money tree is an original gift that you can make with your own hands. It can be made in the form of topiary from banknotes or bonsai from coins. You don't have to use real money to make a souvenir.

Topiary from banknotes

To craft this tree, you will need:

- flower pot;

- foam ball;

- wooden stick;

- PVA glue;

- gypsum;

- awl;

- counterfeit banknotes;

- ribbons, artificial leaves, beads for decoration.

Prepare "leaves" for the money tree. It will take about a hundred counterfeit banknotes, which can be purchased at a bookstore or printed on a printer. Roll a little bag from each part. Fold the bill in half, fold the edges towards each other. Apply a strip of PVA glue to the edges and press down. Make the required number of "leaves".

Make the trunk of a money tree. Wrap a wooden stick (for this purpose it is very convenient to use a kebab skewer) tightly wrap a satin ribbon. Fix the edges with glue and let dry.

Pierce the styrofoam ball with an awl. Insert the "trunk" of the money tree into the resulting hole.

Dissolve gypsum in water until mushy. Pour some of the mass into a flower pot. Then put the barrel in it. Top up with plaster and let it dry completely.

While the gypsum mass is drying, prepare the crown for the topiary. Apply glue to the tip of each bag of bills and attach them to the surface of the ball, placing the "leaves" as close to each other as possible. Artificial leaves and flowers can be attached between them. This will decorate your money tree.

Decorate the pot. On the hardened gypsum, apply PVA glue and attach small beads. Tie a satin ribbon bow on the trunk.

Bonsai from coins

To make this original souvenir, you will need:

- thin wire;

- thick wire;

- flower pot;

- decorative coins;

- PVA glue;

- brown floss threads;

- gypsum;

- green beads;

- varnish;

- sparkles.

Prepare pieces of wire 40 cm long each. Their number will depend on the desired number of leaves on the money tree.

For each piece, string one decorative coin and twist a wire under it. Then collect the twig. Connect several elements and twist the wire.

Then connect these branches into a large trunk with a crown. Cut a piece of thick wire 20-30 cm long, attach the prepared branches to it and twist the wire. Do not cut off the excess, but twist the edge of the wire. This will allow the tree to be more stable.

Decorate the trunk with floss threads. Give it the shape you want. Then wrap the floss, placing the turns as close to each other as possible. Periodically coat everything with PVA glue. Leave the wood to dry and prepare the base for it.

Dilute the plaster of Paris and fill the flowerpot with it. Put a money tree in it and let the plaster harden.

Decorate the hardened surface. Spread with PVA glue and sprinkle with green beads. To make the money tree sparkle and shimmer, spray it with spray varnish and sprinkle with sparkles.
