The clothes you buy don't always match your color preferences. In addition, over time, I want to somehow update the thing. Woolen, viscose and cotton fabrics are easily dyed with chemical garment dyes. The easiest way to dye the fabric is black.
It is necessary
- - a bag of black fabric paint;
- - enamelled bowl for painting.
Instructions
Step 1
Pour the dye bag into any enamel or ceramic bowl. While stirring constantly, add warm water drop by drop to form a paste. Pour the paste with water at the rate of half a liter of water for one package of paint, mix thoroughly and strain through cheesecloth.
Step 2
Then pour the mixture into a large enamel bowl. Add water at a temperature of 40-50 ° C. The amount of the resulting solution should relate to the mass of the fabric to be dyed within 10/1.
Step 3
Immerse a cloth in the resulting solution and put the basin on fire. After 15-20 minutes, when the solution is already slightly boiling, take out the cloth and pour in a solution of table salt (2 liters), prepared for 1 liter of water, 1 tablespoon of salt.
Step 4
Then dip the fabric back into the solution. Wait for it to boil again and time it. In a weakly boiling dyeing solution, the fabric should remain somewhere else for 30-40 minutes.
Step 5
Now carefully remove the basin from the heat. Place it along with all its contents in a safe place. In the cooling solution, the fabric should remain for another 30 minutes.
Step 6
Then remove the fabric from the solution and let it drain. Rinse the fabric several times, first in warm and then in cold water. It is possible with the addition of a few drops of vinegar. Squeeze out the water gently and dry the cloth.
