Original New Year's souvenirs can be made with your own hands, and literally from what we throw away.
It happens that you buy socks of the wrong size (it does not matter if sloppy sellers put the wrong article in the box with the goods or the manufacturer made a mistake with the packaging, but the fact is that hosiery is almost impossible to exchange if they are opened). In this case, there is only one way out - to throw it out? No, it's better to make a nice souvenir out of a good thing …
(or knee-highs), scissors, multi-colored threads, beads, beads and buttons, filler for toys (cotton wool, foam rubber, holofiber from an old pillow are also suitable), a strip of any colored fabric (about 15 cm long and 1.5-3 cm wide).
1. Cut the toe just above the heel.
2. Gather the top of the sock with a string or simply knot on one side.
3. Fill the future snowman with filler.
4. Tie the top third of the snowman figure with a thread and pull off the thread - you get the head of the toy.
5. On the head, fasten two black beads or beads and one red or yellow one (eyes and nose).
6. Tie a strip of colored fabric to imitate a scarf and hide the thread from step 4.
7. With the bottom of the sock tucked up, place it like a hat over a toy. Sew 2-3 small buttons on the front. The snowman is ready!
If you wish, decorate the snowman blank differently - glue the details of thin felt on it (eyebrows, mouth, hands, nose), you can take ready-made eyes. Also, a good way is to sew on small pompons instead of the toy's arms and legs (I wrote earlier how to make them in different ways).
