The process of making a wedding garland with your own hands should be divided into a number of stages. It is better if several people take part in it. Garlands can be made in the form of hearts, cones, paper circles and sequins.
How to make garlands for a wedding
Usually at the wedding, multi-colored round garlands are used. It is quite possible to make them with your own hands. First, take thick cardboard and make stencils for future figures. It is advisable to make several stencils at once. Then carefully place them on paper or cardboard and trace with a pencil.
Use thick enough paper as the basis for the garland. If it is thin, use a stapler to staple several sheets of paper to make cutting out the figures easily. After that, take scissors and cut out the made blanks. Then arrange them by color and size.
Try to carefully string the finished paper mugs on a thread with a needle. It is advisable to glue them to the thread so that the garland keeps its shape. For the next step, you will need a satin braid. Cut it into strips of equal length. Use these ribbons to tie cute little bows. Actually, if you wish, you can create some other decorations instead of bows from ribbons. Use your imagination. But in any case, the size of the jewelry should correspond to the size of the garland elements.
In the next step, you can proceed to the assembly of blanks. If you have volumetric elements consisting of several parts, they must be assembled into a single whole. Then glue flowers, rhinestones, bows and other decorations to each prepared figure. Thread them with a needle. Be sure to observe symmetry, because the elements of the garland must be exactly the same. As for very small blanks, they may generally remain unadorned.
How to assemble a garland correctly
If all the garland blanks are brought to perfection, you can start assembling it. First, decide how you would like to combine the elements. There are three options here - by type, color and size.
So, if almost all the elements of the garland are double, they should be fixed with glue on a thread or on a board. Otherwise, they simply won't hold on. Volumetric figures should be stapled or sewn together. As for flat garlands, a sewing machine is required for their further assembly. It turns out that the assembly process depends on the chosen design of the wedding garland. Lay out the finished garlands for the wedding on a horizontal surface to maintain their spectacular appearance.
